Every verified event is appended to a per-site hash chain; each day closes into a Merkle root signed with Ed25519. Public key served at /.well-known/perseus-evidence-pubkey, verifiable without a perseus account.

Daily roots can be anchored outside our own systems, so a third party can confirm a root existed at a given time without trusting anything perseus says about itself.
